THE BLACK CHURCH

Shalom Brothers and Sisters,
Before I get into this lets start off with a precpet,Psalm 127:1
Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

The precept said that except the Most High build in which build is to establish, to bring to a composite whole on a particular base. So if the Most High have not constructed that house then they labour in vain. This word labour means: a tiresome task that consist of a long stretch or lengthy time and process. So all the time and energy that's being taken to build what is to be taken the house of the Most High is useless (vain). It's void of substance or anything that resembles that of the Most High. What is seen today with all the churches in our communities has anything change one must ask himself. If there is no change then that makes those churches in those communities vain, useless because it has not shown evidence of that which the Apostles had clearly done in the first established assembly. The thing about this is that there was one assembly per town and that town experience an operaticed transformation.

Ask yourself, why today we don't see those same results that once flourished undoubtedly but what we see today is formated and systematic in other words before you arrive at your institution you already know what is going to be the first thing done then the next. Its predictable from all levels, you even know how the so called preacher is going to preach. But what did Christ say about those born of the spirit: John 3:8 The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. This clearly shows that those that have the spirit of the Most High is unpredictable does this describe your institution? You know exactly when offerring time is and that it follows before or after the sermon (never read where no one ever preached a sermon matter of fact that word dosen't appear no where in the scriptures).

If the people truly new and understood the reason and purpose of the black church in America they would think twice about giving their time, energy and money to that which been designed to control them and keep them a good old servant. Lets get some info on this to establish a solid foundation to the claims and statements made. Keep in mind Psalms 127:1.

Now in 1493 there was a priest by the name of Father Juan Perez who accompanied Columbus on his second expedition to the islands and what is now known as North and South America. With orders from the Queen of Spain they set out and begun to christianize those dark skinned Indigenous people. They imposed their religion and beliefs onto there people and those who refused were murdered instantly not sparing no one not even children or even those women that were pregnant. They would even go as far as killing the mother and cutting out the baby out of the womb and killing that little fetus (baby). Those that converted by forced was recorded as Catholics (Christians). Then the first mass (church) was established in the Americas. Does this sounds like the building an assembly for the Most High?

More voyagers over the next several years begin to settle in the lands and begun to convert by force those people to their religion and enslaving them. By the 15th century the buying and selling of those people become more and more intriguing. Now as more and more of these dark skinned people were taken from their habitation, culture and their language they learned more of their owners religion and beliefs. Before then they new not none of what was being taught to them but the reason of this forced religion was not done out of love but out of controlling the people to comply to working for countless hours without food and water. Religion was to give those hopless servants something to look forward to in the next life and not to look for nothing in this present life. They were to serve willing their owners without raising up against them because they were taught because of the color of their skin they were a cursed people destined for servitude. They were taught this from their owners bible written in their owners language. This means that the people couldn't read so they had to go by what they was being told. Forbidden from practicing their own culture, religion and language.

As time passed those people began to grow wearied. All the work they were doing and receiving harsh treatment and nothing in return. Those people began to seek for their freedom by anyway that they could think of to obtain it. Some would flee others raised up against their owners and this was a problem. The owners had to come up with a new approach. In 1594 there was a man by the name of John Smyth who was an ordained anglican priest in England under the church of England. As he began to oppose the teachings of the COE he broke from them and began his own movement in which he taught the fully immersion of baptism and he taught that this is pictorially symbolic of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. So he along with Thomas Helwys founded the baptist church in the 16th century.

During these times blacks were not permitted to congregate because the owners feared that they would plot an escape and they couldn't have that so they were only permitted to congregate in the presence of their owner. As time began to dawn towards the 17th century the problem with the servants began to worsen and by the 17th century this news traveled and there was a man by the name of Willie Lynch heard of this and came to teach the owners of to control their servants. So in 1712 he Willie Lynch touched grown in Jamestown Virginia and gave his speech in which is know by the "Willie Lynch Letter or Speech".

To further control the servants so that they will not get out of control anymore they brought forth the Christian Black Codes in 1724. Lets take a look at some of these articles.
Psalm 127:1
Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
Article 2
Make it imperative on masters to impart religious instruction to their slaves.
Article 3
Permits the exercise of the Roman Catholics creed only, Every other mode of worship is prohibited.
Article 4
Negroes placed under the direction or supervision of any other person than a Catholic, are liable to confiscation.

Article 5
SUNDAYS and HOLY-DAYS (HOLIDAYS) are to be strictly observed. All Negroes found at work on these days "are to be confiscated".
There are over 50 articles with a lot of info in them but these are the few I chose to show how the servants were under complete control religiously.

Now in the mid 17th century there was a man by the name of Rev Matthew Moore who also followed the teachings of late John Smyth of the baptist movement. He Matthew Moore owned a baptist church in which there was a man name Henry Sharp who owned a slave by the name of George Liele who converted under the preaching of Rev. Matthew Moore. George Liele was encourged by his owner to preach to the other slaves to make sure that there was no up roar amonst his servants. By 1778 George was emancipated by his owner before he died and George was the first slave to establish the African American Baptist Church. He first started off preaching to the slaves under his owner Mr. Sharp by way of controlling those slaves. He taught the same message he heard Rev Moore preached and Rev Moore preached that same message of Mr. Smyth which was designed to basically to ease the misery of the slaves by preaching hope to them by means of a better life after death. After George's freedom he was permitted to continue to preach this message all over. He moved to Jamaica.

His preaching became famous and many blacks followed his style of preaching just like many today. They do not pay attention to what's said but focus on the style of preaching. He later joined with the Anglican Church of London. The establishing of the church was never intended for the spirituality of the blacks but rather to control them so this black church has branched out to over thousands of black churches and denominations. So from the very beginning of the first church in the Americas back in 1493 by Father Perez to the first black church by George Liele was designed to control the servants (slaves). This still stands this very day. Religion is the biggest avenue of manipulation and control and the masses has fallen for this for over 500 years and counting. We will never see any change in our communities if you rely on religion because it was never designed to bring about a change for the better. We will continue to see violence, drugs, teen pregnancy which will lead to abortion, murder, theft, premarital sex, etc.. Just like the precept said execpt the Most High build the house they labour in vain. Every work every attempt has failed so their work was useless. Vain spells failure and that's what has happened. "The Black Church has Failed". It's time to make a change and stand. Those who laboured from the beginnig did so in vain.

Shalom.
