It is sad, but true, that most Christians attribute to what they call God’s word facts and concepts that it neither teaches nor advocates.
After reading this short note I would hope that you will be inspired to ask yourself why you believe what it is you believe and do some reading and research on the things you have before just taken as true because someone who claims some sort of authority said they were.
Let's see what we can learn about the so called "Devil"
The serpent in the garden:
Genesis 3:
1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden
14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou [art] cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life
15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Lets look at Satan
Job:1
6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.
7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
Let's look at lucifer:
Isaiah 14:12
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
If we read this verse in contect with the rest of the chapter we can see that Lucifer is not Satan or the serpent:
4 That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased!
This chapter is speaking about the king of Babylon. Satan does not enter into this passage as a subject at all neither does the serpent from the garden as the serpent has already been punished eternally.
The Babylonian ruler was to die and be buried, fates neither of which (according to the bible) Satan is destined to endure. The king was called “a man” whose body was to be eaten by worms:
11 Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee.
This is the end of the so called Lucifer. The word Lucifer is written only once in the whole bible. The Hebrew word translated “Lucifer” is helel (or heylel), from the root, hâlâl, meaning “to shine” or “to bear light.” It is a description and not a name. It was used to mock the King of Babylon who was caught up in self pride.
Here I show you if you read the scriptures that The serpent, Lucifer and Satan are not the same being.
The bible says the serpent was compared to the beast of the feild that God created and was punished to suffer on Earth and eat dust all his days on his belly.
While Satan is amongst the son's of God, in heaven, in the presence of God (and walking to and fro on the Earth)
Now surly we can see that the serpent is not Satan (as the events in Genesis take place before those in Job according to biblical chronology).
We should also know that Satan could not be Lucifer as the one time the name Lucifer is said in the bible he is described as having been thrown from heaven.
So Lucifer can not be the serpent who is amongst God's animal creations and his life long punishment is to be on Earth.
Certainly Lucifer is not Satan as the so called Lucifer is brought down to his grave where his body decays like all human flesh after death (and after being described as haven fell from heaven) and Satan is in heaven talking with God in the book of Job.
Satan has not been thrown out of heaven yet according to scripture:
Revelation 12
7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
We know that The Book of Revalation is describing what it says are things that are to come after they are revealed to John by it's opening statements so again, according to biblical chronology, we can prove these beings are not one in the same:
Revelation
1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
Some Christians will try and argue that Satan is behind the power of any evil king but the bible clearly says otherwise:
Daniel 2
20 Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his:
21 And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding:
Most so called Cristian authorities such as Pastors, priest ,or so called Apostles (LOL) will blend these bible characters into one being without even themselves asking why. If you don't believe me go ask one of 'em. If you believe in God why would you want to learn about him from someone who can not or does not care to understand what they read..??
The enemy of man is man and his tendency to lean towards self pleasure instead of love for all. If you would take the time and look at every so called sin known throughout the course of human history you will find at it's root and foundation a selfish motivation.
As always I encourage you to think for yourselves on all subjects and about all things. What you believe and the reasons that you believe it goes a long way in determining how happy you can be in this life.
I welcome any comments or opinions you may have on this subject.

interesting never paid attention to that before shame on me will continue to seek truth thanks
ReplyDeleteThank you Leane for taking the time to read this and I hope you continue to follow the blog as we will be digging into lots of other subjects that you may find just as interesting as this.
ReplyDeleteSo the enemy of mankind, who propelled us into original sin, was a talking snake? Do snakes literally eat dust?
ReplyDeleteNo. The Hebrew word for serpent in Genesis is Nacash, which has 3 meanings: serpent, diviner, and shining one. The triple entendre was probably intentional by Moses. We find serpentine angelic beings elsewhere in Ezekiel's vision. They are the throne guardians of God.
Moreover in Ezekiel 28-31 you will find the motif of trees being used to describe the fallen angels, or "sons of God" (Genesis 6), and how one of them became the greatest and the envy of all the others. Hence "the tree of the knowledge of good and evil" was undoubtedly Satan, and the serpent, in one.
This renders the fall all the more heinous, as the sin was not eating literal fruit, but worshipping Satan instead of God. Eve pledged her allegiance to him, just as he wanted Jesus to in the wilderness. There's also every reason to suspect that the idolatry wasn't merely spiritual, but also sexual. It's unlikely that their sudden awareness of their nakedness is merely prosaic, it's more likely alluding to a sense of sexual defilement. It says they were afraid when they heard God coming and hid amongst the other "trees of the garden", these were the other angels, they didn't hide in a literal forest.
