Body ph

pH: What does it mean?

PH is the abbreviation for potential hydrogen. The pH of any solution is the measure of its hydrogen-ion concentration. The higher the pH reading, the more alkaline and oxygen rich the fluid is. The lower the pH reading, the more acidic and oxygen deprived the fluid is. The pH range is from 0 to 14, with 7.0 being neutral. Anything above 7.0 is alkaline, anything below 7.0 is considered acidic.

To remain in good health it is important to maintain a good body ph. Your body pH should be slightly alkaline ( 7.35 - 7.45 ). A range below or above this can cause complications and disease. If your pH is below 7.0 it means that your body is too acidic (if the pf of your blood drops to even a 6.9 it can cause coma or even death).

What would cause your body ph to be low?

Basically anything that deprives your cells of oxygen and nutrients will create an acidic environment. Emotional stress, or an overload of acid from an acidic diet. In response, your body tries to compensate by using alkaline minerals to raise your body ph. If your body does not contain a sufficient amount of minerals, your cells start to store the acid in them to protect your organs.

An acidc imbalance does many harmful things to the human body such as:

■Hinders the body's ability to absorb minerals and nutrients
■Hormone concerns
■ Encourages tumor cells to thrive
■Weight gain/loss
■Bladder and kidney concerns
■Immune deficiency
■Yeast/fungal overgrowth
■Stunts the repair of damaged cells
■Limits the ability to detoxify heavy metals
■Causes fatigue and illness
■Decreases energy production in the cells

Increased acidity in the blood is called Acidosis. It is more common in America because of our diet, which is high in acid producing animal products like meat, eggs and dairy. Americans also eat more acid producing processed foods like white flour and sugar and drink acid producing beverages like coffee and soft drinks.

Coffee: pH of 4.0

Coca-Cola: pH of 2.0

Beer: pH of 2.5

If you take lots of perscription drugs or use artificial sweetners like Nutra sweet, Equal and Aspatame you are subjecting yourselve to risk because they are all acid forming.

If you have a health problem, most likely you are acidic. Research shows that unless the body's pH level is slightly alkaline, the body cannot heal itself.

So, no matter what type of medicine you choose to use to take care of your health problem, it won't be as effective until the pH level is up. If your body's pH is not balanced, you cannot effectively assimilate vitamins, minerals and food supplements. Your body pH affects everything.

Your body ph is also a factor in fighting off or never contracting cancer cells.

Cancer needs an acid and low oxygen environment to survive and flourish within. Terminal cancer patients are around 1000 times more acidic than normal healthy people. Most of terminal cancer patients possess a very low body pH. Why?

Without oxygen, glucose undergoes fermentation to lactic acid. This causes the pH of the cell to drop from between 7.3 to 7.2 down to 7 and later to 6.5 in more advanced stages of cancer. Our bodies simply can not fight disease if our body pH is not properly balanced.

The easiest way to get an idea of the pH level in your body is to measure your saliva or urine with pH Hydrion test paper. You can get this pH test paper at your local pharmacy.

Balnacing your body PH is very important. There is no recorded case of a person being ill when they're body ph is balanced. Here is a list of some foods that are alkaline based and can help you to keep your body ph in check:

almonds, aloe vera, apples, apricots, bee pollen, buckwheat, cabbage, cantaloupe, celery, carrots, cucumbers, dairy products except hard cheese, dates, dulse, poached eggs, figs, grapefruit, honey, lettuce, millet, parsley, raisins, peaches, fresh red potatoes, pineapple, soy products, sprouted seeds, cooked spinach, turnip tops, wakame miso soup, azuki beans, rice, mineral water.
